ReThink is an expert organization that facilitates a collaborative effort to build a greener, more sustainable Ukraine, bringing together government, businesses, communities, experts, and international partners.
Our Focus Evolution
Since 2017, ReThink has been a leading voice in promoting circular economy principles in Ukraine. Through advocacy campaigns, educational forums, seminars, and events, we've cultivated a network of committed individuals driving Ukraine's transition to a circular economy.
In 2019, recognizing cities' critical role in climate change and defining the quality of life, ReThink shifted its focus to promoting circularity in the built environment. This focus on green, liveable cities became even more solid after the full-scale russian invasion on February 24th, 2022.
Today, ReThink is fully committed to leveraging our expertise and the most advanced global practices, in the circular reconstruction of Ukraine. We support Ukrainian cities, municipalities, and businesses adopting systemic and advanced circular strategies for a greener, more resilient Ukraine.
Today we work with:

Our Approach
Circular Economy
We believe in a world where products and systems are designed with the entire lifecycle in mind, from sourcing to disposal and back again. Our expertise lies in shifting from a linear "take-make-use-dispose" model to a regenerative, circular one. We aspire to share these circular solutions widely, aiming to make Ukraine a champion of circularity in its truest, holistic sense.
Community
We understand that circularity isn't just about smart design; it's about people. Our approach centers on empowering communities to embrace circular practices. We work closely with local stakeholders, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing to build resilient, self-sufficient systems.
Systems Thinking
We address challenges with a systems thinking mindset, understanding the interconnected factors and taking holistic actions. This approach helps us develop comprehensive solutions that consider life cycles, broader contexts, and long-term impacts.
Global Expertise
Our initiatives benefit from global expertise. We partner with international universities and incorporate diverse perspectives to ensure our solutions are informed by the latest knowledge and best practices. Through collaboration with world-class experts, we deliver innovative, effective results that meet the highest standards.

Alina Pavlenko
Junior Project Manager
Since 2019, she has been passionate about Circular Economy, leading her to get the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to study in Austria and Norway. Now, as a PhD student at the National University of Kharkiv, she continues her research on Circularity. She has always aspired to apply knowledge to gain hands-on experience in her home country. Lucy ignites ReThink's voice, weaving complex ideas into impactful and engaging messages. Her words resonate, gathering meaning and touching audiences. But Lucy's influence extends beyond communication. She has a remarkable ability to uplift spirits and spark inspiration, both within ReThink and for those she interacts with.
